WHAT IS C.A.R.E.
C.A.R.E. stands for Christians Actively Reaching Everyone.CARE stands for Christians Actively Reaching Everyone.
WHEN DOES C.A.R.E. MEET
C.A.R.E. meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Midway Baptist Church Fellowship hall at 6:30 pm.
WHAT DOES C.A.R.E. DO
We begin our meeting with prayer and snacks for our volunteers. We show others how much we C.A.R.E. by visits, phone calls, prayers, and writing and mailing out cards. Our few minutes mean everything to those on the receiving end of our outreach. We minister by showing our love for one another - those in and outside of our congregation. If you, or someone you know, need special prayer, please contact us and we'll reach out to you with a card, call, visit, or special prayer.
WHAT HAS C.A.R.E. DONE
We have made Fidget Aprons for Alzheimer's patients, we send cards to everyone that needs encouragement, support, prayers and love. We do visitations to sick, shut ins, anyone that needs help. We cook meals for anyone that is unable to do for themselves at specific times. We visit Margate and Forest Ridge when our members are in either facility. Last winter we made and distributed "Cold Weather Bags" to the elderly and shut ins during cold weather.
These bags included soups, crackers, snack cakes, candy bars, hot chocolate packets, teabags, etc. These helped when it was too cold to come out and was comforting for everyone receiving them. We do the Bible stick campaign for active Military personnel, we have adopted an active military troop stationed in Kuwait---we send care packages with supplies, cards, puzzle books, etc. for the troops every couple of months. We also did a coat closet for flood victim's last year, along with bible collections and other needed supplies for the flood victims. We are now in process of working on a campaign for helping the Pine Ridge Lakota Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
These are only a few things we do. We are constantly doing things for people in need in and around our community.Come join us for our monthly meetings, second Tuesday every month. We can always use more people and more help. If you can't come to the meetings, ask me, I always have projects going on that you can help with. Thank you to everyone who helps in many ways
Please join us in showing you C.A.R.E.
